The hilly, seaside town of Truro holds a secret. Lauren Gump has the perfect life working as a private detective in the city and cooking with her courageous boyfriend, Matthew MacDonald. However, when she finds a cursed piano in her cellar, she begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the Gump family.

A Halloween party leaves Lauren with some startling questions about her past, and she sets off to grand Truro to find some answers.

At first the people of Truro are bold and incredible. She is intrigued by the curiously understanding shopkeeper, David Jones. However, after he introduces her to hard sugar, Lauren slowly finds herself drawn into a web of burglary, lust and perhaps, even murder.

Can Lauren resist the charms of David Jones and uncover the secret of the cursed piano before it’s too late, or will her demise become yet another Truro legend?
